Gregory Lawrence Cucchissi, known to his clients and peers as Greg, has carved a unique niche in the world of brand content marketing. As an accomplished photographer, strategist, and data analyst, Greg seamlessly bridges the gap between influencers, producers, marketing teams, and data analysis. His expertise spans content creation, AI workflow integration, social media strategy, influencer marketing, and data analysis, to name a few.
Greg's journey started with music as his first love, photography as his passion, and marketing as the language he speaks best. From his humble beginnings as a singer in an indie pop rock band to his current role as a Senior Brand Production Lead at GANT in Stockholm, Sweden, Greg's journey is a testament to the power of passion, perseverance, and innovation.
The Long Story:
Greg's journey in the marketing landscape began as the front man of a pop rock band in the mid-2000s. The band capitalized on the early days of Facebook to reach and engage their audience. They amassed a strong following, which translated into increased merchandise sales and higher concert attendance. It was here that Greg learned the power of personal engagement in social marketing.
After the band called it quits, Greg put himself through community college and won a full scholarship to the University of California, Irvine. There, he studied computer science with a focus on business and developed core programming skills. He also gained hands-on experience dealing with big data sets and interpretation.
While studying, Greg co-founded The Hydra Group, Inc, a venture in the emerging market of e-cigarettes. Despite restrictions on advertising "vice industry" products on platforms like Facebook and Google, Greg's innovative approach to social media and influencer marketing led the company to generate an impressive annual revenue.
Post-graduation, Greg decided to chart a new path. Leveraging his past experiences and connections, he started working as a concert photographer and videographer. His unique perspective, having been on the other side of the camera as a performer, gave him an edge over other photographers. With major international clients such as 5B artist management, Greg forged a path in a competitive environment giving valuable insights in producing culturally relevant content for social media channels.
This led to an opportunity with Fandango Film in Gothenburg, Sweden, where Greg gained experience producing content for international brands such as Volvo and AstraZeneca. After working there, he moved on to become a videographer at NA-KD, further honing his video strategy and content creation skills.
Today, Greg works as a Senior Brand Production Lead at GANT, where he produces global marketing content for various channels, develops content strategies, manages project coordinators, and oversees budgeting for multiple simultaneous projects. In addition to his role at GANT, he continues his freelance work under the brand Wolf in Reflection, consulting for clients such as 5B Artist Management and Volvo's autonomous driving subsidiary, Zenseact.
With his journey marked by music, photography, and innovative marketing strategies, Greg continues to create engaging and effective campaigns, always keeping an eye out for opportunities with forward-thinking companies.
